It was this unique business model used by Dr. George Gates and Dr. Mark Daly, along with their wives, Pam Gates and Patty Daly, when they founded Land of Paws in 1993. Their mission was to provide the Kansas City area with an upscale pet store that offered exclusive pet services and supplies, all natural pet foods, and a grooming facility all led with extraordinary customer service, a well educated, knowledgeable staff, and veterinary expertise. The flagship store, which is conveniently located next to the veterinary practice, proved to be well accepted by the pet lovers of Kansas City. Due to the success and popularity of the flagship store, a second location, Land of Paws-South, was opened in 2003 in Overland Park.
Today, Mark and Patty Daly, along with their daughters, Courtney Hill and Kristen Lewis, continue to make trendsetting pet product selections, distinctive merchandising and over the top customer service their priority for the pet lovers of Kansas City.
