The Dog Stop® opened its doors in 2009 after owners Jesse Coslov and Chris Kane spent several years researching the pet care industry, surveying the needs of local pet owners, and planning an all-inclusive facility. Their goal was to create a fun and safe environment where dogs would love to come and play, and pet owners would feel 100% confident in the superior care that their dogs were receiving.

Everyone needs a mission, so as the first pups were entering the doors, Jesse and Chris made a commitment to their vision for the service. Today that mission and our commitment at all locations remain the same: To deliver a superior experience for the dog(s) and his or her whole family by providing a safe environment, offering educational opportunities, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our clients and their pet companions, instilling complete peace of mind for those we serve—and to earn their trust every day!

We Board 365 Days of the Year!

Whether you are looking for basic boarding in a safe, fun and loving environment or you are looking for an all-inclusive vacation for your dog, The Dog Stop is the perfect place.

Boarding at The Dog Stop is available 365 days a year. Boarding charges are by the night. Each pet is charged for the number of nights they stay regardless of the arrival or pick-up time. Our rates are all-inclusive, and there are no hidden fees.

Individualized Care

We are happy to administer medication, as well as follow any special dietary needs. Our guests will enjoy the same love, care and affection to which they are accustomed to receiving at home.

The Dog Stop Delights

The Dog Stop Delights are available daily to all overnight and daycare guests. Delights include extra activities, treats, supplements, leash walks and one-on-one time with our canine caregivers. These extra services allow owners to customize their dog’s experience to their own personal preferences.

Free Doggie Daycare

Doggie Daycare is included with boarding prices for all of our overnight guests who pass a temperament test and are spayed/neutered. This allows your furry friend to enjoy hours of playtime with other pups. Each play area is under the careful supervision of our canine companions.

What is required for my dog to play/stay at The Dog Stop?

The safety and health of your pet is our first concern. Our The Dog Stop® Play/Stay contract includes a personality profile so we have basic information about your dog’s temperament and match him with the right playmates. All boarding dogs that participate in daycare must demonstrate adequate social skills and the ability to play safely. On the first overnight stay at The Dog Stop®, we will evaluate your dog’s interactions with other guests. If we find your dog isn’t daycare friendly, he will instead receive personal playtime with our canine companions.

Prior to boarding and/or daycare, you must provide proof of the following vaccinations from your vet:

Vaccinations & Flea/Tick Requirements

Prior to boarding and/or daycare, you must provide proof of the following vaccinations from your vet:

  • Bordetella – Up-to-date vaccinations
  • Parvovirus & Distemper – Up-to-date vaccinations
  • Rabies – Up-to-date vaccinations

While some dogs enjoy being home alone for a few hours, others may become anxious and lonely. If this is the case, you should consider looking into dog daycare!

Our core philosophy focuses on a lot of playtime and exercise for every pup in carefully selected playgroups. Dogs who participate in daycare at The Dog Stop are more adjusted, less stressed, healthier and happier.

Benefits of Dog Daycare

There are a couple of added benefits when considering dog daycare for your furry family member.

  • Your pet will be less likely to destroy things out of boredom
Pups that are left home alone express their separation anxiety through destructive behavior like chewing and clawing up your things.

Dog daycare is an outlet for their energy

Exercise is critical for your dog’s health, and at daycare they’ll have a constant outlet to let out all of that excess energy.

  • Your dog will thank you for the change of scenery
It doesn’t hurt to switch up your dog’s routine. Daycare will be a mini-dogcation for your pet!

Dog Daycare Services Offered at The Dog Stop

Dogs that join us for dog daycare enjoy spacious indoor/outdoor supervised group play areas featuring interactive elements, such as benches, bridges, wading pools and of course, our canine handlers.

Specialized Playgroups

Since not all dogs play alike, we are prepared for many different playgroups that are separated primarily by age and play style. When it comes to dog daycare, we believe that age is more important than size when evaluating compatibility.

It’s our goal to ensure that all of our guests are stimulated both mentally and physically while in our care. Our dog daycare facilities include spacious playrooms that are 100% fully supervised by our staff of trained dog experts.

The Dog Stop Delights

The Dog Stop Delights are available daily to all dog daycare and overnight guests. Delights include extra activities, treats, supplements, leash walks and more one-on-one time with our canine caregivers.

These extra services allow owners to customize their dog’s experience to their own personal preferences.

What is required for my dog to play/stay at The Dog Stop?

The safety and health of your pet is our first concern. All dogs that participate in daycare must demonstrate adequate social skills and the ability to play safely by passing a temperament test. Additionally, all dogs over the age of seven months must be spayed or neutered.

If we find your dog prefers people over dogs, he or she will instead receive personal playtime from our canine handlers.

Vaccinations & Flea/Tick requirements can be found here.

If you love the feeling of a fresh professional haircut and manicure, we promise that your dog does too! It can be stressful to get your pooch to stay still while you try to bathe or trim his hair. At The Dog Stop, we offer dog grooming services so you both can relax knowing that your dog is getting quality spa-like treatment with the professionals.

The Dog Stop offers a variety of services including full-service grooms, baths, shed-reduction treatment, teeth brushing, nail trims, nail grinds, and more.

When Do I Need To Groom My Dog?

You should aim for daily brushing as it helps remove dirt and push natural oils through your dog’s coat. Depending on your dog’s size and coat, daily or weekly brushing can also prevent matting.

Brush your dog’s teeth as often as once a week. Routinely clean your dog’s ears and check for any wax buildup.

When it comes to washing, cutting, nail trims, and treatments we suggest a visit to The Dog Stop every 6-8 weeks.
