Our “open door” policy allows you to see where your pet is bathed and groomed as well as where your pet will eat, sleep, play and exercise while boarding with us. Central heat and air throughout the kennel, with auxiliary heat and air units, will surpass your expectations for comfort.

Spending time with your pet is our privilege, therefore we never charge for play-times. There is no licensing for grooming shops or kennels, therefore we recommend inspecting any grooming shop and/or boarding kennel before leaving your pet.

We have several requirements for pets to stay with us.

• Your pet is up to date on their vaccinations.
• All pets are bathed at Aurora Kennel when they arrive. Assuring that our environment is
  maintained flea and tick free and your pet is guaranteed to go home clean.
• Aurora Kennel is a non-smoking, chemical and fragrance free environment.
• We ask that your pet not visit another boarding facility, grooming shop and/or veterinarian office two weeks prior to staying with us. This requirement helps us to reduce your pet's exposure to other facilities that may not be as fastidious and conscientious as Aurora Kennel. It also eliminates the need for a "kennel cough" shot (infectious tracheo­bronchitis) a highly contagious airborne virus with a 5 to 10 day incubation period. There may be exceptions to this requirement based on circumstances involved with your pet, any questions or concerns, please ask.
