We opened The TailGait Market in 2010 with one big purpose, to provide outstanding, unique products and personal service to our dog and cat loving community. Dogs are about as personal as it gets! They share our lives, our loves and most times our beds! We provide not only the highest quality foods, supplements, remedies, treats, toys and other comforts, but also personal caring service.
My educational background is in Food Science (Penn State) and Nutrition (WCU), my passion and joy has always been dogs. Dogs fascinate me, their types, their personalities, their behavior, what diets they thrive on.... My heart dog, the dog that taught me so much about so many things was my AKC Obdience partner, we trained together, showed together, traveled together. He introduced me to amazing people all experts in their fields, be it training, showing, structure or nutrition. We share this knowledge with our TailGait family every day, and we also learn every day.
Well, all of this sounds very serious, but joy and fun are just as important! Dogs constantly remind us to enjoy the moment and make us laugh. Nothing makes us happier than when a dog comes to the store, and leaves in a full body wag!
