Doggie Daycare Outer Banks School for Dogs Doggie Daycare is a place for dogs to have fun in a safe and caring environment. We have been in business since 1994, and operated under the name “Holistic Pets.”

Play Like A Dog When your dog comes to Outer Banks School for Dogs Daycare, he or she will be integrated into the supervised play group that best suits them. This is done carefully and at a pace within each dog’s comfort level. Groups are decided based on factors such as size and temperament. Some examples of our groups include, the Little group, made up of smaller breeds, the Goofy Group, is a special collection of outgoing, energetic, and usually adolescent dogs, and our Big Yard groups which consists of mature dogs who like to play without the craziness of the wilder goofy dogs. We will work with your dog, helping them learn how to 'play nice'.

Most dogs live with people who want them to behave in ways that make them pleasant to be around, keep them safe, and provides for the safety of other humans and pets. Dogs do not figure out basic obedience on their own. The fundamental rule that must be remembered is that one should never apply human standards of society onto the dog with the assumption that the dog will understand.

The hardest part of training is communicating with the dog in a humane way that the dog understands. The underlying principle of all communication is simple: reward desired behavior while ignoring or correcting undesired behavior.

•   Bath
  At the Cyber Dog, we have a full selections of polishing pet shampoos, including hypoallergenic, medicated and herbal options to fulfill your pets special needs. A bath includes the shampoo & conditioner best suited to your dog or cat, along with a fluff-dry, brushing, nails trimmed & ears cleaned. We also include a bandana or ribbon, whichever you prefer. We also offer a range of special occasion ware & services. 
  
    Full Grooming
  
  When you opt for a full grooming service, your pet will receive a shampoo & condition, fluff dry, brushing, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, a customized, precision haircut, a bandana or ribbon plus lots of friendly attention. We will be pleased to have suggestions for what would make your pet look like a million bucks, and we will be happy to help create a look that is more what you prefer!
•  How long does it take?
  
  The grooming process goes along in stages, that way your pet won't be rushed through without a break. We also don't want them to be left alone for very long. We've found that small rests or cage free play time between stages helps your pet relax, enjoy being groomed & have a great experience. Full grooms typically take about 4-5 hours. A little less time is needed for our bath services. Your dog is welcome to stay longer if that's more convenient. Made easy for you, you can drop off your pet as early as 7am & pick up as late as 7pm on Mon - Fri, 10-6pm on Saturdays.
